A Special Message from Kris Larson-Rich
Saludos Running Club participants, volunteers, fans and the Longfellow community! Please join me in welcoming Candy Silva Sisco as the new Longfellow Running Club Chair as of November 1st!
Thank you all for allowing me the honor of serving as the Chair of Running Club over the past four years. It has been such a joy and I am deeply grateful for the many friendships, connections and memories made along the way. I am indebted to all who have been part of this unparalleled crew of volunteers who make the magic happen every day for the kids and without whom RC would not work. I am especially grateful to have had the privilege of working with and learning from Diana Franco as Vice Chair (and with Roberta Cruz before her) who has been an invaluable source of wisdom, support, creativity, counsel and most of all friendship and without whom I would not have been able to keep things on track.
Yours in healthfulness and gratitude,
Kris Larson-Rich (Wyatt’s mom)
Longfellow’s Running Club meets every morning before school, from 8:35 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. It’s a great way for students to wake up, move their bodies, and ease into the school day feeling focused and energized.
If you’re available in the mornings, we’d love your help scanning mileage cards and cheering on our students. Even one morning a week makes a big difference.
Reach out to Running Club on Konstella or come meet us on the track to learn more!
