For more than 40 years, the Longfellow Multicultural Festival has been one of our school's most cherished traditions.
Each grade level studies and represents a different country through music, dance, and cultural traditions. Throughout the year, students and teachers work together to learn about their assigned country and prepare a special performance to share with the community. The Multicultural Festival is the exciting culmination of that learning and a celebration of the diversity that makes Longfellow so special.
The Multicultural Festival is a school-sponsored event organized by Longfellow's teachers and staff. Los Compadres is proud to support this tradition by providing teacher stipends to help purchase costumes and performance materials, ensuring every class has the resources needed to bring their performances to life.
The Multicultural Festival is held each spring and features:
Dance performances by every grade level, from TK through 8th grade
A celebration of cultures from around the world
Food and refreshments available for purchase
An opportunity for families, friends, and the community to come together and celebrate our students' hard work
Students perform in grade-level order, and families are encouraged to stay and enjoy the entire program.
The Multicultural Festival is a wonderful reflection of Longfellow's Spanish Immersion community—celebrating learning, culture, creativity, and the joy of coming together as one school.
