Everyone Is Welcome

The Longfellow PTO is open to all Longfellow families, teachers, and staff. Whether you're interested in volunteering, learning more about the PTO, or helping shape the future of our school, we'd love to have you join us.

Meetings are held monthly in the auditorium at 6pm and may be attended in person or via Zoom. To make participation as easy as possible, dinner and childcare are provided for in-person attendees.

The following are the general meeting dates for the 2026-27 school year.

No General Membership Meeting is scheduled for November.

Every member has one vote at General Membership Meetings.

How Decisions Are Made

The Longfellow PTO is committed to transparency, collaboration, and shared decision-making. Members vote on important matters including:

• Annual budgets

• Funding requests

• New programs and initiatives

• Changes to PTO policies and priorities

• Election of the Board of Directors

Have an Idea?

Great ideas can come from anyone! If you have a suggestion for a new program, event, or funding request, we'd love to hear it.

To be considered at an upcoming General Membership Meeting, please submit an Idea Proposal Form by [X days] before the meeting so it can be added to the agenda and shared with members in advance.

Where Your Donations Go

The Longfellow PTO invests approximately $200 per student each year to enrich the educational experience for every child. Your generosity benefits the entire Longfellow community by funding programs, events, and resources that are not covered by the school district.
