HIP Pocket

HIP POCKET is a multi-ethnic collaboration between local poets, actors, choreographers, and, musicians designed to encourage literacy through the rhythm and power of word play in students daily lives. HIP POCKET celebrates diversity and respect, while exploring the challenges and triumphs of friendships, peer pressure, pursuing dreams through education, and the surprising weakness of those who bully, tease, and gossip.

We had 3 assemblies today, One of the assemblies was granted to us by Quailcomm, I think they most defiantly deserve recognition and thanks to them.

Also, this is really cool, but we had this assembly last year, very similar, a little of the content was update, but at last years assembly they brought in Channel 4 News, Jeanne Rawdin, parent at Longfellow conducted the interview.
