This informative meeting is for all families interested in knowing the coursework necessary to meet University of California/California State University admission-eligibility requirements (e.g., UC 'A-G' course requirements)
The intent of the "A-G" Subject Requirements is to ensure that students can participate fully in the first-year program at the University in a wide variety of fields of study. The requirements are written deliberately for the benefit of all students expecting to enter the University, and not for preparation for specific majors. Fulfillment of the "A-G" pattern also demonstrates that the student has attained essential critical thinking and study skills. Click here to see the specific subject/course requirements.
Blog Entries - Julie's Board Blog
Over the past few years, I have followed the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) budget crisis. Basically, the State of California has dramatically decreased funding to public schools for the past five years – we’re talking about billions of dollars. I have heard points from all sides of the discussion. I’ve heard that the Board isn’t doing their jobs, that the Unions aren’t agreeing to concessions, that teachers don’t deserve a raise, that cuts are kept away from the classrooms, that kids should just go to their neighborhood schools, that the budget crisis really isn’t that bad, blah blah blah.
From my point of view, the budget crisis is real. SDUSD is underfunded and my children are directly affected by the budget cuts.
